As BeLeaf's first-ever dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll own full-cycle recruiting, launch three all-new sourcing channels, and bring real measurement to how the company finds and hires people. This is a corporate-office role based at BeLeaf Medical's headquarters in St. Charles, MO, working directly with the Director of Human Resources to build the recruiting function from the ground up across every brand and location.
Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Real ownership from day one — you'll run full-cycle recruiting independently as BeLeaf's first-ever dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist, not inherit someone else's process.
  • A true build role: launch three brand-new sourcing channels — institutional partnerships, a leadership ambassador program, and adjacent-industry outreach — that are designed and waiting for someone to run them.
  • A defined path to more scope and authority as your judgment earns it, at a Missouri cannabis company that has been trailblazing since day 1.
  • Competitive pay: $55,000–$65,000 base plus a 7.5% target bonus, earned against clear, documented criteria.
  • Full benefits at 100%: medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of your employee premium covered by BeLeaf Medical.

About the Role
BeLeaf Medical LLC is a vertically integrated Missouri cannabis company operating cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail under the Swade Dispensaries and Sinse Cannabis brands, with roughly 430 employees across the St. Louis, St. Charles, Kansas City, Warrensburg, and Rolla markets. About 90% of that workforce is hourly, which is exactly why/how BeLeaf finds and hires people matters so much. You'll report to the Director of Human Resources and own the entire hiring funnel — from first contact through the end of a new hire's first day — while building the measurement and channel infrastructure that lets the company see what's actually working.
What You'll Do
Full-Cycle Recruitment
  • Own recruitment for every role across retail, cultivation, manufacturing, and corporate, from first contact through offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers on role definition, candidate calibration, and realistic expectation setting.
  • Build and maintain active pipelines for the company's highest-volume and highest-turnover roles ahead of need, and support executive searches with panel coordination and interview guides.
Hiring Process & Applicant Tracking
  • Own the application and resume screen against a structured minimum-qualification checklist.
  • Coordinate panel interview scheduling across a rotating cross-functional interview panel.
  • Prepare and extend offers within approved bands, and manage stage-appropriate candidate communication.
  • Administer the applicant tracking system end to end: configuration, scorecards, interview guides, and reporting.
Onboarding & Orientation
  • Deliver the weekly new hire orientation session at the corporate office, for every role and every brand.
  • Own onboarding administration — offer letters, background screening, I-9 compliance, and new hire documentation.
  • Administer Missouri agent identification applications and renewals, and ensure first-day readiness alongside hiring managers.
Sourcing & Channel Development
  • Launch and operate a leadership ambassador referral channel, from card distribution through candidate screening and attribution tracking.
  • Build partnerships with Missouri cannabis, horticulture, and workforce programs — campus presence, guest instruction, facility tours, and practicum placement.
  • Extend outreach to workforce boards, veteran employment services, and trade and interest-based associations across the region.
  • Administer the employee referral program, including eligibility verification and payout coordination.
Measurement & Reporting
  • Configure and enforce source tagging in the applicant tracking system before any channel goes live.
  • Report the full recruitment metric set monthly — source of hire, cost per hire, time to fill, and offer acceptance — and contribute to retention review at 90 days, 6 months, and 12 months.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field — equivalent directly applicable experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency, including demonstrated high-volume hourly hiring.
  • Demonstrated sourcing capability — building pipelines through outreach, not just working an inbound queue.
  • Hands-on applicant tracking system experience, including configuration and reporting, not just day-to-day transaction use.
  • Comfortable presenting to groups, including weekly delivery of new hire orientation.
  • Organizational discipline and follow-through to hold service level commitments across a multi-gate hiring process.
  • Experience building a recruitment function or channel program from the ground up is a strong plus.
  • Experience with structured interviewing, scorecards, or competency-based selection preferred.
  • Experience in cannabis, retail, hospitality, food and beverage, manufacturing, or another regulated or high-turnover industry is a plus.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain any Missouri cannabis agent identification card or registration required for this role.
  • Must satisfy the background screening requirements applicable to the position, and hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation for regional travel.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $55,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Performance bonus: 7.5% of base target ($4,125–$4,875), earned against defined criteria.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance — 100% of the employee premium paid by BeLeaf Medical.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 50% company match on the first 4% you contribute.
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance.
  • Employee discount at Swade Dispensaries.
  • 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year.
  • 10 Paid Company Holidays
  • 3 Paid Personal Days.
