A Brief Overview The Talent Acquisition Specialist ("TAS") supports the "end-to-end" hiring process by coordinating interview logistics, maintaining accurate data in the Applicant Tracking System ("ATS"), and consistently delivering a high-quality candidate experience. The TAS supports proactive sourcing and pipeline building for priority roles. This position also conducts internal candidate qualification reviews, assists with offer and pre-employment steps, and helps pre-board new hires to ensure start-date readiness and a smooth hand-off to onboarding. Additionally, the TAS partners with the Talent Acquisition team to support employer branding through recruiting content and event support.
Responsibilities:
Sources talent by identifying and engaging talent via LinkedIn, job boards, and internal databases. Builds and maintains pipelines aligned to priority roles.
Posts and refreshes job ads; supports sourcing efforts by managing inbound applicants and basic outreach under recruiter guidance.
Conducts initial candidate qualification reviews (e.g., resume and/or brief phone screens); shares calibrated shortlists with recruiters and hiring managers, and documents outcomes in ATS.
Provides support throughout the in-offer letters and pre-employment steps (e.g., background checks, references, and onboarding hand-offs), following JAMS established processes.
Conducts pre-boarding new hires by coordinating start-date readiness (e.g., equipment requests and Day-1 details); tracks completion of required paperwork, and partners with the HR and IT departments to ensure a smooth hand-off in onboarding.
Coordinates end-to-end interview logistics (e.g., scheduling, confirmations, agendas, interview panels, and room/virtual links) across multiple time zones.
Supports recruiting practices that align with Equal Opportunity Standards and applicable employment laws.
Contributes to continuous improvement projects, such as templates, playbooks, candidate communications, and interview training materials.
Supports JAMS employer branding efforts by partnering with the VP, Talent Acquisition, to draft recruiting content (e.g., job posts, social copy, and event materials); maintains careers-site information, and helps showcase associate stories and culture.
Supports recruiting events (e.g., career fairs, open houses, and campus events) and helps track outcomes and follow-ups.
Supports maintaining accurate, real-time data in the ATS, including statuses, notes, feedback, and dispositioning.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related discipline. Preferred
3-6 years of working in HR/Recruitment related field. Required
2-3 years of working with staffing/placement agencies. Required
2-3 years of legal recruiting. Preferred
Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and common recruiting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, scheduling tools, and video interviewing platforms). Required
Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing fundamentals, including building target lists, crafting outreach messages, and managing follow-ups to improve response rates. Required
Ability to identify qualified profiles using basic internet Boolean search strings and proficient in translating job requirements into sourcing criteria. Required
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with candidates and internal stakeholders. Required
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through. Required
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Required
Computer-literate and proficient in all technology and software programs required for the position. Required
