About This Role:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full cycle recruitment process for assigned business units. This role partners closely with hiring managers to attract, evaluate, and hire high quality candidates while delivering exceptional candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition + Employee Experience. The role manages requisitions, conducts interviews, and ensures hiring practices comply with applicable employment laws and company standards.
As part of the Talent Acquisition team, you'll have the opportunity to influence the growth and success of the organization by attracting top talent across a diverse range of roles, including CDL drivers, technicians, operations personnel, and corporate professionals. You'll work closely with leaders across the company, help shape our employment brand, and contribute to initiatives that improve the employee and candidate experience.

Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage recruiting activities from requisition approval through onboarding.
- Conduct intake meetings and recruitment calls with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
- Develop recruitment plans and sourcing strategies for assigned positions.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate selection processes.
- Facilitate offers, negotiations, and pre-employment requirements.
Candidate Sourcing
- Source active and passive candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and participate in local job fairs.
- Build talent pipelines for high volume and difficult to fill positions.
- Promote employee referral and recruiting incentive programs.
- Planning and executing job fairs for DATTCO hiring purposes only.
Hiring Manager Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers regarding recruiting best practices.
- Provide recommendations on candidate selection and market conditions.
- Communicate recruiting progress and hiring metrics regularly.
- Train new managers on process and applicant tracking system utilization.
Employer Branding
- Create and post compelling job advertisements.
- Participate in career fairs, hiring events, community outreach activities, and workforce development initiatives.
Compliance + Administration
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system.
- Support onboarding and new hire transition activities.
Requirements:
Travel:
- Occasional travel to company locations throughout the region.
- Attend local job fairs on a weekly or monthly basis depending on business needs.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
- Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously.
- Experience with LinkedIn, Indeed, and applicant tracking systems (ClearCo) preferred.
- Transportation, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, or skilled trades recruiting experience.
- High volume hiring experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
