Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location:  Brooklyn, NY - on site
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday/TBD
Salary: $65,000-75,000 per year, plus benefits including Paid Holidays, PTO, Employee contributed 401K, etc.

Job Description
Penda Aiken Inc. seeks a Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team with the ability to collaborate with hiring managers and HR management to determine qualifications, schedule interviews, and manage the entire candidate process, including sourcing qualified candidates, tracking candidates’ progress, and actively participating in negotiations and closing. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Engage in 360-degree recruitment, managing the full recruitment lifecycle- Including; client acquisition, healthcare candidate (MDs, RNs, LPNs, NPs, Case Managers, etc.) sourcing, and stakeholder engagement. Engage in 360-degree recruitment across other verticals as well.  

  • Maintain applicant tracking system to ensure accuracy for applicant flow reporting and manage all follow-up communications with clients and candidates.  

  • Partner with additional internal support teams, such as Business Development, Operations, IT, HR, and Finance to ensure seamless operation. 

  • Continually identify new opportunities for key progress improvement initiatives, that improve recruiting strategy. 

  • Research and participate in relevant career fairs, local job fairs, and professional events to identify qualified talent. 

  • Follow all policies, procedures, and KPI’s as set forth by management. 

  • Create plan of action with oversight from leadership team, from contractual documents after negotiation of pay, time off and selection of shifts. 

  • Maintain and manage relationships with a professional network, local universities, and specialized colleges to develop a pipeline for candidates and graduates. 

  • Collaborate with the client HR, Procurement Departments, or specialized hiring managers by serving as the intermediary between vendors, candidates, and clients, impacting the overall success of the staffing operation. 

Requirements:
  • Must have a BA degree and 2+ years of healthcare recruiting experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment, within a staffing agency. 
  • Proficiency in writing, excellent communication, and organization skills. 
  • Knowledge of city, state and federal employment laws, compensation, organization planning, employee relations, safety, training, benefits, and recruitment.
  • Demonstrated skill in all aspects of recruiting such as networking, sourcing, qualifying, screening, negotiations, and relationship management. 
  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system, social media, and subscription job boards.
