Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards, reports, and workflow-driven analytics solutions that support operational decision-making and business intelligence initiatives.
 
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, SQL, relational databases, data visualization, and enterprise reporting. This position will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather business requirements, integrate and validate data from multiple sources, and develop actionable visualizations that improve process visibility, performance monitoring, and operational efficiency.
 
This role requires a seasoned Tableau professional with a strong understanding of data quality, dashboard performance optimization, KPI development, and business intelligence best practices.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and interactive data visualizations.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Develop workflow metrics, key performance indicators, scorecards, and performance-monitoring dashboards.
  • Integrate, analyze, and validate data from multiple enterprise systems, relational databases, and data warehouses.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Apply data visualization best practices to create intuitive, accurate, and user-friendly dashboards.
  • Optimize Tableau dashboard performance, data quality, functionality, and overall user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting, dashboard, data integration, and visualization issues.
  • Perform data analysis and quality assurance to ensure reporting accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and agency personnel.
  • Create technical documentation, user documentation, and other supporting materials.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to internal personnel.
  • Support ongoing dashboard enhancements, maintenance activities, workflow analysis, and business intelligence initiatives.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations within an enterprise environment.
  • 8+ years of experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, including dashboard design, data modeling, calculations, and performance optimization.
  • 8+ years of experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • 8+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical reporting and analytics solutions.
  • 8+ years of experience integrating and validating data from multiple data sources, including enterprise systems and data warehouses.
  • 8+ years of knowledge and experience applying data visualization best practices, developing KPIs, and following business intelligence reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated focus on data accuracy, validation, and quality assurance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience working in a regulated or government environment.
  • 1+ year of experience supporting workflow analysis, process improvement, and operational reporting.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level Tableau Developer with extensive hands-on experience building enterprise business intelligence solutions from requirements through deployment and ongoing support. This individual should be comfortable working with complex data environments, developing advanced Tableau dashboards, writing SQL queries, defining KPIs, and partnering with stakeholders to transform business and operational requirements into meaningful, actionable analytics.
