    Tableau Administrator/Developer

    Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

    Duration: 6 months

    Seeking for an experienced Tableau Administrator/Developer to combine hands-on Tableau Server administration with Tableau dashboard and report development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer, maintain, configure, and support Tableau Server in an enterprise environment.
    • Support the installation and configuration of Tableau Server and associated Tableau client products.
    • Manage Tableau Server users, groups, roles, permissions, projects, sites, schedules, extracts, and subscriptions.
    • Monitor Tableau Server health, availability, capacity, and performance.
    • Troubleshoot Tableau Server, workbook, dashboard, data source, and performance-related issues.
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance Tableau dashboards, reports, and interactive data visualizations.
    • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Tableau reporting and analytics solutions.
    • Work directly with business stakeholders and internal customers to gather, analyze, and clarify reporting requirements.
    • Design dashboards and reports that effectively communicate business metrics, KPIs, trends, and actionable insights.
    • Apply Tableau development standards, best practices, techniques, and design principles.
    • Develop and maintain Tableau data sources, calculations, parameters, filters, and other reporting components.
    • Perform data modeling and impact analysis to support Business Intelligence and reporting solutions.
    • Apply data modeling best practices to improve dashboard performance, maintainability, and data consistency.
    • Work with data warehouses, relational databases, and enterprise data sources.
    • Use SQL to retrieve, analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data supporting Tableau dashboards and reports.
    • Validate dashboard and report data against source systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Analyze existing Tableau solutions and identify opportunities for performance optimization and process improvement.
    • Evaluate the impact of data source, data model, or business requirement changes on existing dashboards and reports.
    • Support testing, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of Tableau solutions.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation related to Tableau administration, development, data models, dashboards, and reporting processes.
    • Follow established enterprise BI, security, data management, and development standards.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
    • Experience in Business Intelligence software development and maintenance.
    • Hands-on experience with Tableau development.
    • Experience with Tableau Server administration in an enterprise environment.
    • Strong knowledge of Tableau development practices, techniques, standards, and best practices.
    • Experience with Tableau dashboard development and report design.
    • Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
    • Experience performing impact analysis related to data models and reporting solutions.
    • Knowledge of SQL and data management processes.
    • Familiarity with SaaS and enterprise application environments.
    • Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Tableau Server and related Tableau products.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
