Dealer School Training Opportunity!
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey into the world of professional table games dealing? Join our 7-week paid training program where you will learn the fundamentals of the Casino industry and have the opportunity to become a certified dealer! Our next Dealer School starts on Monday, September 21, 2026. Dealer School will run 10AM - 2PM, Monday - Friday, and offers a compensation of $10/hr. Dealer School is scheduled for 20 hours per week. Dealer School Students who successfully pass a final audition are certified by CCAC as professional dealers. We are currently hiring part-time positions for recent dealer school graduates, with potential full-time opportunities available upon learning additional games.
Responsibilities
- Attend all Dealer School training sessions held at CCAC Community College and at Rivers Casino.
- Develop proficient skills in dealing games, ensuring strict adherence to company policies, procedures and gaming regulations.
- Acquire the ability to handle and resolve any disputes or issues during gameplay.
- Gain expertise in exchanging currency and accurately managing bets per house rules.
- Present a fun, positive approach to guest service.
Experience Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing, including a PA Gaming License.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Possess excellent guest service and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classmates and work well as a team
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance
- Effective communication in English with the trainer and classmates
Certifications:
- Upon completion of Dealer School, students who are offered roles as Table Games Dealers are required to apply for and obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming license. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with the gaming license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, push/pull up to 10 pounds frequently
- Manual and digital dexterity for fine motor manipulation of cards, gaming chips, and other small objects.
