This field-based role supports transmission line structural steel and concrete foundation inspection, repair, and restoration projects across a six-state region.

The Site Quality Specialist will observe field activities, review project documentation, communicate quality and safety concerns, and coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders. This opportunity is well suited for someone with a background in quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), utility construction, or civil/structural inspection who enjoys working independently and supporting multiple field crews.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide field observation and coordination support for crews performing lattice tower steel and concrete foundation inspection, repair, and restoration.

    • Communicate field conditions, progress, concerns, and required actions through approved project channels.

    • Travel among assigned crews, transmission lines, substations, and project locations throughout OH, PA, WV, MD, VA, and NJ.

    • Support pilot program development and evolving project needs within the approved scope of work.

    Ideal Qualifications

    • Strong background in QA/QC, field observation, construction support, or inspection.

    • Experience with concrete foundations, structural steel, and/or lattice transmission structures.

    • Experience with transmission line or substation construction, maintenance, inspection, and right-of-way restoration preferred. Comparable civil/structural construction or inspection experience will also be considered.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain clear, accurate field documentation.

    • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and GIS applications.

    • Strong situational awareness and the ability to recognize and appropriately escalate hazards in energized transmission corridors and substations.

    • Ability to work effectively with contractors, client representatives, and technical and field stakeholders.

    • Ability to travel throughout the assigned project region.

    Role Scope

This position provides field observation, documentation, coordination, and issue escalation.
