    Description

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    Provide technical and systems analysis support for district applications, with a primary focus on the Skyward Student Management System (SMS) and Skyward Qmlative. Responsible for user management in Active Directory and the Google Admin Console, responding to help desk support calls, and ensuring data integrity and effective technology operations across the district.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Education/Certification

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering

    OR

    Related degree, or Associate degree with 2 years of experience,

    OR

    3 years of experience in administrating large-scale Enterprise Server Environments

    Special Knowledge/Skills

    Immediate knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures

    Exhibit desired competencies to perform job effectively as a proficient professional

    Direct experience supporting Skyward SMS Applications and Skyward Qmlative desired.

    Proficiency in Active Directory user management and Google Admin Console administration.

    Basic understanding of SQL Server / Progress databases, query concepts, and data reporting.

    Good understanding of DNS, Active Directory, and LDAP

    Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical support skills.

    Work under minimal supervision utilizing pre-established guidelines

    Possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal, customer service skills required to achieve departmental goals

    Tools/Equipment Used: Computers and peripherals;

    Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; regular kneeling, stooping, bending, and reaching.

    Minimum Experience:

    Required

    Three year's work experience in systems admin or systems analysis

    Preferred

    Skyward development work experience or technical work experience in a K-12 environment

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    • Analyze, develop, and write applications reporting based on staff needs and requirements
    • Serve as one of the systems analysts supporting Skyward SMS and Skyward Qmlative applications.
    • Provide consultation, guidance, and problem resolution on Skyward modules and software applications.
    • Process data and perform required uploads for District implemented programs.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, password resets, and group memberships in Active Directory.
    • Administer user accounts in the Google Admin Console.
    • Analyze user needs, review and revise programs and processes in order to improve operating efficiency.
    • Conduct research, resolve problems in relation to processes, and monitor processes to determine areas for improvement within in-house and/or vendor supplied software.
    • Create and maintain documentation for processes.
    • Perform complex analytical and technical work in relation to various computer applications, and systems.
    • Ensure compliance with standards relating to security and data protection.
    • Serve as a technical resource in finding software solutions for customers.
    • Perform both routine and emergency maintenance for existing computer applications.
    • Engage with other district staff in a collaborative manner.
    • Respond to help desk calls and support tickets, resolving software and system issues for district staff.
    • Monitor routine system processes and perform basic application maintenance tasks.
    • Provide on-call and after-hours support as required.
    • Maintain compliance with security standards, data privacy laws, and local policies.
    • Maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
    • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all local policies and state and federal statutes including the Educator Code of Ethics.
    • Perform such other tasks and accepts such other responsibilities as may be assigned.
