JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Systems Programming Consultant is responsible for developing and maintaining database queries, analyzing large education datasets, and producing accurate reports to support data-driven decision-making. This position supports the State's education data reporting and accountability functions by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of data used for compliance with state and federal requirements, policy development, and strategic decision-making. Reporting responsibilities primarily support postsecondary education within the Florida College System and Career & Adult Education programs.
The position requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal) to deliver high-quality data products for internal and external stakeholders. Work produced in this role directly informs education policy, institutional planning, and leadership decision-making.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized, technically skilled, and a proactive problem-solver who takes initiative. The candidate must be able to operate both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience writing database queries or performing statistical analysis OR equivalent combination of education and experience

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
