Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer for a Contract with a client in Kansas City, MO(Hybrid). The ideal candidate must have a strong background in electrical engineering, wiring schematics, and root cause analysis, with responsibility for developing system designs, performing ECU testing, and supporting prototype and production vehicle builds.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $36/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Systems Integration Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and validate vehicle electrical systems, including electrical architectures, logical schematics, fusing strategies, and grounding designs.

  • Support ECU integration activities by performing software flashing, calibration updates, configuration management, and functional system testing.

  • Conduct compatibility reviews and interface validation to ensure seamless integration of electrical modules, wiring systems, and vehicle components.

  • Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including FMEAs, Design Verification Plans (DVPs), transmittals, and technical reports.

  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic system issues using diagnostic tools and root cause analysis methodologies to identify and resolve integration problems.

  • Provide technical support during prototype, pre-production, and production builds, ensuring successful validation, issue resolution, and vehicle readiness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle electrical systems, ECU integration, systems engineering, or automotive electrical validation.

  • Strong experience designing and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, vehicle electrical architectures, and supporting ECU software flashing and diagnostics.

  • Proven ability to perform system integration testing, root cause analysis, FMEA development, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and electronic vehicle systems.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
