Snapshot / Role Overview
We are seeking a Systems Estimating Supervisor in the Seattle Metro, WA to lead the estimating team for building systems and controls projects.
Impact
- Improve bid accuracy and win rates across the project portfolio.
- Protect margin through consistent estimating standards.
- Increase team output with clear workload planning.
- Support strategic pursuits with strong cost intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of estimators through bid preparation and review.
- Prepare and review take-offs, labor units, and material pricing.
- Develop bid strategies with sales and operations leaders.
- Standardize estimating templates, databases, and processes.
- Review scope letters, exclusions, and qualifications.
- Support design-build and GMP pricing efforts.
- Analyze bid results and update cost history.
- Mentor estimators on technical and commercial skills.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Bring five or more years estimating controls or mechanical systems.
- Lead or mentor other estimators.
- Perform detailed take-offs using Bluebeam or similar tools.
- Read plans, specifications, and sequences of operation.
- Communicate pricing decisions to executives and clients.
Nice-to-Haves
- Bring design-build and GMP experience.
- Understand building automation and electrical scopes.
- Hold a degree in engineering or construction management.
