Job Overview 
ExoTerra Resource is a rapidly growing small business specializing in Solar Electric Propulsion (SEP) Modules and Microsatellites. We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead our systems engineering team that provide technical support for our programs. 

Responsibilities 

  • Perform systems engineering for company propulsion modules in support of multiple projects. This includes performing system level trade studies and analysis, developing and verifying requirements, maintaining Interface Control Documents, and managing Program resource budgets such as mass, power, pointing tolerance, propellant, memory, switches, etc. 
  • Develop and submit systems engineering deliverables to customers. 
  • Support and present at program reviews. 
  • Support program technical risk resolution. 
  • Support failure investigations and resolution. 
  • Manage systems engineering staff, including timecard signoff, annual performance reviews, mentoring, goal setting, and working with HR on any disciplinary action required. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics. 

  • 10+ years of experience with spacecraft systems engineering. 

  • Experience with spacecraft avionics, software and GN&C preferred. 

  • Ability to perform system level spacecraft trades. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to think outside of the box. 

  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial mindset. 

  • Demonstrated Leadership skills Experience managing budget & schedule preferred. 

Schedule: 

  • 8-hour shift Monday to Friday 

  • Weekends and Overtime as needed 

Language: 

  • English (Required) 

Experience level: 

  • Satellite: 10 years (Required) 

  • Systems engineering: 10 years (Required)

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary range:  $110,000.00 - $189,000.00 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
