Our Reentry Flight Test Experiment (FTE) Team is currently seeking a Systems Engineering, Manager - Advanced Development and Test Body Development. The Reentry Team is responsible for oversight, development, and coordination of Advanced Reentry and Flight Test Reentry Body (RB) development, verification, and validation to ensure RB readiness for system flight tests. This position requires substantial coordination across multiple organizations including various design disciplines, flight sciences, FBM Missile SEIT, contracts, F&BO, other organizations within the Reentry directorate (mechanical, electrical, RF), as well as the Navy customer. The selected individual will report directly to the Reentry Directorate Chief Systems Engineer and will be deployed to the Flight Test Experiments Program Manager. Occasional travel and durations of extended work hours will be required.

This information reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
