Responsibilities:

Arcfield is looking for a SENIOR SYSTEMS TECHNICAL SPECIALIST to join a skilled, highly respected and long-standing team that designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.

  • Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
  • Ensure system requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
  • Translate high-level product strategies into detailed system and implementation requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop lower-level technical requirements.
  • Establish and coordinate engineering standards, processes, and procedures throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Design and integrate system interfaces to ensure all system components function together effectively.
  • Evaluate system performance using technical performance measures and defined evaluation criteria.
  • Serve as a customer liaison, supporting business development efforts and helping define customer requirements.
  • Participate in system conceptual design and document system design concepts.
  • Participate in hardware and software design reviews to ensure requirements traceability and compliance.
  • Develop system-level verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Review test plans and procedures to ensure they meet contractual requirements.
  • Participate in system testing to validate that all requirements have been successfully met.

Specific Job Description:

 

This position is on an experienced and trusted team of systems and software engineers with experience in SIGINT-related rapid prototyping, system engineering, and design. The team supports the development of new capabilities based on software algorithms, software applications, data sources, processing frameworks, collection tasking approaches, and existing tools; performs technical oversight and facilitation of customer-directed rapid prototyping efforts related to enterprise strategic objectives; and provides independent Verification & Validation and assessments of testing efforts. Duties include:

  • Experience with AI assisted code development
  • Deployment of new capabilities via a DevOps approach 
  • Perform independent, objective assessments of new tools, algorithms, and/or capabilities
  • Input relevant tasking into collection systems
  • Interface and assist with operational customer test cases
  • Perform rapid software prototyping
  • Create custom web services
  • Create data routing scripts
  • Work directly with mission operators on concept designs
  • Work with lab developers to ensure proper data formatting and suggesting code enhancements
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g. aerospace, electrical, software), physics, mathematics, or similar technical discipline with 10+ years of domain experience
  • Subject Matter Expert in at least one SIGINT discipline
  • 10+ years working with SIGINT data sets; 5+ years of coding in a mission environment
  • Experience working with SIGINT collection systems
  • Experience putting in tightly constrained SIGINT tasking
  • Experience working with SIGINT data outputs and formats
  • Demonstrated experience parsing and reformatting mission data sets
  • Demonstrated experience working with cloud environments
  • Demonstrated experience deploying web services and software frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability and success working in team environments and collaborating/leading across multiple geographic locations
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
  • Strong systems analysis skills, with the ability to identify and accurately describe system issues
  • Extensive domain knowledge and demonstrated understanding of user needs and operational environments
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; Demonstrated ability to clearly explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
