Standard Job Description

The F-35 team is looking for an experienced fuel design engineer for the Fluid and Mechanical Systems Team which is responsible for supporting production, sustainment, and development of the F‑35 fuel system.

This role will be responsible for driving technical solutions to keep the F-35 fuel system reliable, maintainable, and future-ready.

Responsibilities include:

• Support development, test, and production of fuel components
• Perform supplier coordination and technical oversight, including preparation of specifications and statements of work
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations for aircraft and system issues, delivering actionable resolutions
• Lead quote and bid kickoff activities, providing technical input and estimates

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering
• Familiarity with Aircraft Fuel Systems

Desired Skills

• Prior technical team experience related to the development or support of aircraft fuel systems
• Experience with defense / aerospace industry supplier management
• Proactive task management and collaborative
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Experience troubleshooting faults on complex systems
• Familiar with technical documentation (e.g. AEI, manufacturing plans, repairs)
• Experience running Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) projects
• Experience creating, updating, and releasing engineering drawings
• Experience with any of the following industry analysis tools:
• Amesim
• MATLAB
• CATIA V4, V5, or V6

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
