    Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Level 5 Systems Engineer to lead the design and implementation of the advanced Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) solutions. The role involves applying rigorous systems engineering and reliable and secured networking techniques, ensuring compliance with industry standard development assurance guidelines, and delivering high reliability navigation capabilities for our commercial customers.

    Development and Integration Lead- Develop and execute network design, cybersecurity requirements, and implementation plans for GNSS/SBAS hardware and software.

    Assurance Standards Application- Apply SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761, RTCA DO 178C, DO 278A, and/or DO 254 as appropriate to ensure safety, reliability, and airworthiness.

    Risk & Safety Analysis- Conduct hazard assessments, FMEA, and other safety analyses; mitigate technical and program risks.

    Cross Disciplinary Coordination- Work closely with software, hardware, RF, electrical, and mission operations teams to resolve integration issues.

    Mentorship & Expertise- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and serve as a subject matter expert on GNSS/SBAS technologies.

    Stakeholder Interaction- Communicate status, risks, and technical findings to customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

    Travel: Up to > 25 % travel required (mostly international and some domestic) to support implementation and team meetings and events etc.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Manage a small team of 6 Network and SIEM designers
    • Hands-on implementation experience with high reliability / high availability 24/7 comms platform
    • Cisco Router, Switch and Firewall implementation experience or equivalent
    • Requirements verification and Test planning (V&V), test procedure development and execution in front of customer witnesses.
    • Travel to Au and NZ sites. 25%

    o Support installations in various rural ANZ locations at odd, off-shift, hours

    • Strong Cyber security knowledge- Design for security, hardening, etc

    o AAA LDAP implementation- Radius implementation experience is a plus

    o Cyber Vulnerability assessment, check out and deployment of patches to the field

    • Able to troubleshoot and restore services
    • Able to communicate in written and verbal form in a virtual, global team
    • Strong on Documentation such as subsystem network design documents, test plans, maintenance procedures, etc.
    • Proven ability to brief design details and challenges to Engineering Chiefs, PMO, and up to Program Director level as necessary

    Desired Skills:

    • Deployment in an air-gapped architecture
    • Radius AAA on Cisco devices
    • Implementation or knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) on Elastic Stack Enterprise
    • Cisco Certified Qualifications (e.g. CCNA)

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
