Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a company focused on advanced defense aviation, executive transport, and military aircraft modernization. This position is onsite in Oklahoma City, OK. The Systems Engineer will support systems verification, requirements development, and test strategy across complex aircraft platforms, ensuring mission-critical systems meet performance and certification standards. This is a high-impact role supporting next-generation defense capabilities, including advanced avionics, radar systems, and secure communication technologies.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer include:

• Develop, decompose, and allocate system requirements while maintaining traceability
• Support system architecture, functional analysis, and MBSE-driven design activities
• Ensure verification & validation activities meet success criteria, including test planning and data analysis
• Participate in technical reviews, cross-functional teams, and customer engagements
• Produce SEIT deliverables including requirements documentation, architecture models, and technical reports

Required Qualifications for the Systems Engineer include:

• 2+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, verification & validation, or related engineering field
• Experience with MBSE and requirements tools (CAMEO, Rhapsody, DOORS, or similar)
• Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle, requirements management, and testing methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Compensation for the Systems Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000+ depending on experience
