Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience AutoCAD ability in order to develop detailed 2‑D/3‑D models and schematics
• Accurately read mechanical and electrical schematics to build, assemble, and install hardware while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Create detailed installation designs for components and assemblies, optimize space, performance, and power distribution within racks, cabinets, and shelters.
• Apply a solid understanding of enterprise‑level network design

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with routine maintenance, fault isolation, and corrective actions on hardware.
• Expertise in performing detailed power‑budget, heat‑load, and structural load analyses for complex installations.
• Skilled in diagnosing data‑link issues, analyzing power requirements, and implementing robust solutions.
• Experienced leading teams in the use of a full suite of test equipment.
• Demonstrates a proactive, collaborative approach and consistently contributes to achieving team objectives.
• Perform heavy‑lifting (55 lb) and work in confined environments while following safety protocols.
• Conduct equipment, rack‑power, heat‑dissipation, and floor‑load calculations to validate installation feasibility and support documentation.
• Produce clear technical reports, work instructions, and status updates; communicate findings effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to Level 2 technicians, junior engineers, and interns; sharing best practices in hardware assembly, test equipment usage, and troubleshooting.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
