Systems Engineer III - Integration and Test

Support integration and testing of next-generation air-traffic-control radar systems as part of a multidisciplinary systems-engineering team. This role plans and executes system and subsystem tests, analyzes technical data, documents results, and communicates findings to internal and external stakeholders.

The best fit has hands-on experience integrating and testing complex hardware/software systems, can work confidently in Linux or Unix environments, uses MATLAB or comparable tools for data analysis, and can turn test evidence into clear technical documentation and briefings.

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts
Schedule: First shift; 5/40 schedule; 40 hours per week
Work Setting: Onsite with domestic travel as required

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute system-level and subsystem-level integration and test activities for complex radar and air-traffic-control systems.
• Integrate hardware, software, networks, sensors, and supporting test equipment in a controlled engineering environment.
• Develop test plans, procedures, cases, scripts, readiness materials, and traceable verification evidence.
• Operate systems during formal and informal testing, capture results, investigate anomalies, and support corrective-action verification.
• Use MATLAB or comparable analysis tools to process, visualize, and interpret test data.
• Work in Linux or Unix environments to configure systems, execute tests, collect logs, and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Generate clear technical documentation, test reports, defect records, and engineering status materials.
• Prepare and facilitate technical briefings for internal teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with systems, software, hardware, test, quality, program, and field teams to resolve integration risks.
• Travel domestically as needed to support program integration, testing, and deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating and testing complex systems.
• Experience planning, developing, and executing system-level or subsystem-level integration and test.
• Experience generating technical documentation and delivering briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience using MATLAB or an equivalent tool for technical data analysis.
• Experience working with Linux or Unix operating systems.
• Ability to travel domestically to meet program needs.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Radar, surveillance, air-traffic-control, avionics, defense, aerospace, or other mission-critical system experience.
• Requirements verification, test automation, defect tracking, configuration management, and formal qualification testing.
• Experience troubleshooting interfaces among sensors, networks, processing hardware, and software applications.
• Experience presenting test readiness, execution status, anomalies, and verification results in formal reviews.
