A leading integrated resort and hospitality organization is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support reliable, secure, and high-performing enterprise technology systems. The successful candidate will help maintain and improve server, virtualization, storage, and network-connected systems while collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. This position requires hands-on technical expertise, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to documentation, automation, and continuous improvement.Position OverviewFusion HCR is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer II to ensure the reliability, performance, and integrity of enterprise technology systems. The position is responsible for implementing new systems, maintaining existing infrastructure, and developing processes that support stability, security, and scalability. The Systems Engineer II will support Windows, Linux, VMware, Active Directory, storage, and high-availability environments; respond to technical incidents; and participate in upgrades, audits, backups, and business continuity testing. The role also contributes to ITIL-based change control and incident management processes, monitors system performance, and develops automation to improve operational efficiency. Success requires a proactive mindset, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to solve complex infrastructure challenges in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily infrastructure operations and request queues while meeting service-level and performance objectives.
- Support enterprise Windows, Linux, VMware, Active Directory, storage, and high-availability environments.
- Configure, deploy, monitor, and maintain servers and network-connected hardware.
- Develop and maintain scripts that automate system administration, monitoring, and routine management activities.
- Create and maintain server documentation, configuration maps, and system records.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Conduct system and security audits, backups, and business continuity testing.
- Respond to technical incidents and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Gather and report system performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Participate in change control, incident management, and other ITIL-based processes.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, management information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least three years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure systems.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Server operating systems, Active Directory, Linux, VMware, and storage technologies, including RAID and SCSI.
- Understanding of high-availability solutions, clustering, and replication.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and standards such as MICS, PCI, and SOX.
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, SFTP, SCP, SSH, IIS, and related protocols.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, batch commands, and performance-monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in data center environments with varying noise, temperature, and humidity.
