    Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer I to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center, supporting the SPY-6 Family of Radars in defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, system performance, execution of system integration and analysis activities. This role will require communication skills to convey solutions and results to teammates and leadership.

    This position can be located in either Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA.

    What You Will Do

    • Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
    • Radar processing algorithm development
    • Radar software requirements development
    • Statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data
    • Analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
    • Working with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
    • Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
    • Occasional travel to support mission execution at various facilities and test sites. Travel will be minimal, approximately 5%

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
    • Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
    • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Experience with systems: software, hardware, requirements, integration, and/or test
    • Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
    • Experience with MATLAB, C++, Python, or similar
    • Experience in developing and managing requirements, including use of DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo or other digital engineering tools
    • Experience with technical writing and oral presentations

    The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
