The System Engineer I, within the Imaging & Logistics team, supports device imaging, configuration, testing, inventory management, staging, and deployment activities for customer facing technology solutions.
This role works closely with the Imaging & Logistics team to prepare, validate, track, and ship hardware while ensuring quality, accuracy, security compliance, and timely delivery.
• Image, configure, and deploy desktops, tablets, and similar hardware devices.
• Perform hardware and software testing to verify deployment readiness and quality standards.
• Receive, inspect, inventory, and track technology assets.
• Apply asset tags, maintain inventory records, and ensure asset accountability.
• Package and prepare equipment for shipment to customer and government locations.
• Troubleshoot imaging, configuration, and hardware issues, and escalate when needed.
• Follow documented procedures, security requirements, and quality control standards.
• Support programs requiring state, federal, CJIS, or customer specific security requirements.
• Obtain and maintain required security clearances, background investigations, and access credentials necessary to support assigned programs.
• Support operational improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in IT support, hardware deployment, device imaging, logistics, warehouse operations, or technical operations.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and hardware troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced operational environment.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required state, federal, customer, or agency specific security clearances, background investigations, fingerprinting, and access credentials as a condition of employment.
• Experience with device imaging and deployment tools.
• Experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics operations.
• Familiarity with asset management systems and inventory tracking.
• Experience supporting government, regulated, or security sensitive programs.
The ideal candidate is a hands on, detail oriented technician who enjoys working with hardware, technology deployment, inventory management, and operational support.
The successful candidate is dependable, adaptable, able to follow established processes, and capable of meeting the security and compliance requirements necessary to support state and federal customer programs.
Pay rate range, $45/hr to $50.00
