In this role, you will collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to support a closed system that spans multiple locations across Capabilities and Operations. The work centers on administering and automating Linux systems, keeping them aligned with the Agency's STE/STN security compliance requirements, and maintaining clear technical documentation for the environment.Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Required Skills + Experience:
Proficiency using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems
Experience developing automation scripts (Bash/Python) to streamline operational and maintenance tasks
Experience with the Agency's STE/STN security compliance requirements and the ability to ensure systems adhere to established policies
Familiar with basic Cisco switch configuration
Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and containerd
Experience with creating, maintaining, and updating clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation
Desired Skills + Experience
Experience administering Windows systems
Experience with NetApp storage devices
Experience with virtualization technologies including vSphere/vCenter
Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
