Payrate: $47.00 - $50.00/hr.
 
Summary:
The role involves supporting Command for Hauling (CfH) Development and Validation work related to autonomous operation. The position requires collaboration with development teams and providing technical support to ensure optimal system performance.
 
Responsibilities:

• Implement Company’s tool Command and maximize system performance.
• Collaborate internally and externally to become a trusted advisor for development teams.
• Support and advise onboard Truck Engineers in all aspects of Company’s tool’s system performance.
• Provide technical support to Truck Engineers and less experienced Controllers.
• Support hardware and software installation and configuration through Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
• Measure, benchmark, and report on Command System performance, suggesting improvements.
• Develop training and process materials.
• Identify, document, and report on issues.
• Plan, develop, and execute validation activities for Company’s Tool products and features.
• Create test plans, test procedures, and validation reports to support product development and release readiness.
• Validate Company’s Tool functionality across proving grounds.
• Investigate, reproduce, troubleshoot, and document complex software and system issues.
• Partner with development teams to identify root causes and verify corrective actions.
• Support integration testing involving onboard machine systems, Company’s Tool applications, network infrastructure, and supporting technologies.
• Analyze test data and provide recommendations to improve product quality, reliability, and customer experience.
• Collaborate with product groups, validation teams, field follow engineers, and Company’s Tool support teams.

 
Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience; 3 years with a Master's degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum or equivalent experience in test or development of control systems, vehicles, engines, or technologies such as autonomy.
• Acceptance of internships as job experience; hands-on project work is valued.
• Relevant past roles include vehicle test or validation experience, especially with the company's equipment.

• Computer literate (Windows operating system).
• Troubleshooting issues in complex systems.

• Experience with Ubuntu or Linux operating systems.
• Test planning and documentation.
• Familiarity with autonomous systems such as perception, planning, or positioning.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $47.00 - $50.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
