Design, maintain, support, and upgrade virtualized and Windows Server infrastructure.
Install, configure, and administer software and computer hardware.
Document and maintain backups of critical physical and virtual servers, storage devices, and computing systems for disaster recovery and daily support.
Maintain all aspects of Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including permissions and licensing.
Maintain cybersecurity platforms, including antivirus, threat protection, and encryption.
Follow information security best practices across servers, storage, and computing infrastructure.
Monitor server infrastructure performance, integrity, and availability.
Maintain current OS patches and software releases.
Coordinate with external vendors and internal customers to resolve issues related to virtualization, servers, storage, and backup platforms.
Purchase and upgrade virtualization platforms, servers, storage, and backup devices.
Create and maintain technical documentation for server infrastructure, including IPs, guidelines, processes, and system configurations.
Work with end users to understand and interpret business requirements.
Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
Serve as a backup resource for Network Engineering responsibilities.
Prioritize technical requirements based on business impact and leadership direction.
Provide 24/7 on-call or onsite support when required.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure.
3–5+ years administering VMware and/or Citrix virtual infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems or similar field, or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience.
Strong experience troubleshooting and resolving server and systems-related issues.
Strong understanding of Windows Server and virtualized environments.
Knowledge of information security best practices for servers and endpoint devices.
Microsoft and VMware certifications preferred.
