Responsibilities:

• Systems Engineers provide leadership for products and projects that involve multi-disciplinary engineering teams. They play roles in all aspects of a product lifecycle from Concept through Market Release and Sustaining.
• During the Concept Phase, Systems Engineers work to understand stakeholder needs and clinical use. They translate those needs to concepts and new inventions.
• During Development, Systems Engineers are responsible for ensuring the design meets the user needs through requirements identification and requirements decomposition.
• They achieve results using a variety of system engineering techniques such as: traceability, architecture, modeling, trade studies, simulation, and budgeting. Systems Engineers are also responsible for system integration and may lead the Verification effort.

Requirements:

• This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.

• The job requires the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience.
