In this role, you"ll deploy infrastructure, develop automation tools, and manage large-scale environments supporting data center operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong Windows Server administration background (Linux experience also valued), hands-on experience with physical data center infrastructure, and proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash). Experience with AWS cloud services and hybrid infrastructure environments is highly desired. Strong communication skills, project management aptitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders are essential to success in this role. We value candidates who solve complex technical challenges through root cause analysis, can manage multiple concurrent projects, and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. You will be working in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You must be flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks and technologies. This role involves participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation and occasional travel (approximately 25%, valid passport required).

At Amazon, it is expected that your technical knowledge demonstrates both depth and breadth. Leveraging the strengths of individual team members as peers and delegating tasks appropriately within the group for long-term projects will all be critical tasks for this role. It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
