    Position Overview

    The client is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 to support the CMS Solutions Group within the Integrated Solutions Division.
    This role will focus on system integration, verification, validation, and testing of safety-critical technologies supporting remote-control, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machine programs.
    The engineer will work across HIL/SIL laboratories and proving-ground test environments, integrating hardware and software onto surrogate vehicles and production machines.
    The role requires strong hands-on troubleshooting, systems engineering, networking, data collection, and test execution capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, deploy, and support machine-based data collection systems and connectivity solutions across various equipment and operating environments.
    • Perform data collection, validation, and quality assurance to ensure accurate and reliable system performance.
    • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot cameras, radar, LiDAR, GPS, and data acquisition hardware.
    • Execute system integration, verification, validation, and field-testing activities for advanced safety and automation technologies.
    • Develop and execute test activities within HIL, SIL, laboratory, and proving-ground environments.
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and machine integration issues.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement system changes to resolve technical issues.
    • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, validation plans, requirements documentation, and technical reports.
    • Support machine installation, system integration, and data collection activities.
    • Develop Python scripts and test automation to improve validation and testing efficiency.
    • Support testing at proving grounds, customer sites, and machine-testing environments.
    • Collaborate with global software, systems, controls, validation, and product support teams.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, data quality, system performance, and validation methodologies.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in:
      • Electrical Engineering
      • Electronics Engineering
      • Mechanical Engineering
      • Computer Engineering
      • Computer Science
      • Or a closely related engineering/technical field.
    • 2 5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
    • Candidates with a Master's degree and 5 years of industry experience may also be considered.
    • Strong understanding of systems engineering, system integration, testing, and validation.
    • Ability to independently plan, execute, document, and troubleshoot engineering test activities

    The engineer's typical activities will include:

    • Hardware/software troubleshooting
    • Test automation and simulation support

    Team & Work Environment

    The engineer will be part of a 30 40 person global engineering team and will communicate frequently with development teams and system leads across the organization.
    The team performs system integration and validation for remote-control, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machines, utilizing:

    • HIL Labs
    • SIL Labs
    • Test Benches
    • BB Test Track / Proving Grounds
    • Surrogate vehicles for on-machine testing
    • Automation and simulation environments

    This is a 100% onsite role, with travel to proving grounds as required.
