Work Location: Aurora, CO
Duration: Long-term contract with option to hire
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly

Job Description:
The Systems Engineer defines, integrates, and manages system requirements and technical solutions across the system lifecycle. This role ensures hardware, software, and operational components work together to meet performance, reliability, safety, and program objectives.

Responsibilities :

• Learn the details and unique constraints of our complex valuable system so that you can support the root cause investigation or resolution of problems.
• Monitor and log system conditions alerts and alarms
• Maintain good working relationships through direct interaction and collaboration with customers, peers, and associate contractors
• Maintain awareness of operation status of subsystem hardware and the supporting monitoring scripts
• Obtain/apply technical knowledge on various hardware subsystems.
• Document discrepancies as they occur. Implement workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts of system issues.
• Contribute to the testing, readiness, training, and implementation of new system deliveries
• Obtain/maintain technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures with the responsibility to accurately select and apply the correct procedure(s) depending on the specific scenario at hand
• Train new teammates on our system investigate root cause of problems

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• An active U.S. TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) or Information Technology and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Cshell, PERL, or HTML
• Experience with Linux and MS Office operating systems
• Ability to work full-time from within our customer on-site facility

Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

• Expert understanding of electronic systems, Electro-mechanical systems
• Expert level understanding of RF and digital communications
• Experience with scripting language TCL/TK
• Ability to learn and understand a wide application of technical theories and concepts
• An understanding of engineering tradeoffs
• Ample experience with Confluence/Jira system
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral settings on technical topics.
• Capability of utilizing analysis methods and tools to trouble shoot various events
• Experience creating, tracking, and executing all or parts of technical projects
