Job Description:

Are you ready to apply your Systems Engineering & Administration expertise to a mission that matters? Parsons is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer / Administrator to support a critical customer mission while working alongside experts in iOS development, vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and related technical disciplines.

This is an opportunity to join an integrated customer-site team, contribute to prototype development, and help deliver innovative capabilities in support of national security. You will collaborate with experienced subject matter experts, expand your technical skills, and use your creativity to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

Your work will span systems administration, network engineering, infrastructure design, prototype development, hardware repair, and information systems security. You will help develop, implement, maintain, and improve the systems and capabilities that support our customer's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult and coordinate with external organizations to resolve network, system, server, development, and test infrastructure issues.

• Identify and select IT products, tools, services, and infrastructure components for development and testing environments.

• Design and evaluate architectures, procedures, and technical solutions for complex infrastructure challenges.

• Develop, contribute to, and evaluate technical proposals for changes to CITE facility networks.

• Install, configure, customize, test, and maintain hardware and software components within development and test infrastructure.

• Manage, monitor, and control network systems, including UPS networks.

• Troubleshoot networks, computer systems, servers, and peripheral devices to isolate and resolve failures.

• Conduct site surveys and support IT installation planning.

• Validate testing and quality assurance activities for development and test infrastructure systems.

• Analyze infrastructure problems and determine effective technical solutions.

• Research and evaluate emerging products, technologies, and architectures to address design, development, and testing requirements.

• Perform high-level system design and define system and component performance, interface, and integration requirements.

• Translate conceptual designs into detailed technical specifications.

• Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, configure, and improve development and test infrastructure equipment.

• Provide full life-cycle support for hardware, software, firmware, and configuration upgrades or modifications.

• Perform hardware repair and modification, including:

• Micro-soldering component replacements

• Trace repair

• System and device restoration

• Hardware modifications supporting reverse engineering efforts

• Maintain systems inventories, non-attributable systems matrices, and rack, elevation, and room drawings.

• Implement and follow applicable safety and security protocols.

• Provide occasional after-hours pager support.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience, including Windows and Linux network administration, and a bachelor's degree; or 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Experience configuring, managing, and sustaining development and test network infrastructure and computer systems.
• Strong understanding of software, hardware, and network architecture and topology, including WAN, CAN, and LAN environments.
• Knowledge of telecommunications systems, components, protocols, standards, switching, routing, and transmission systems.
• Understanding of network architecture theory, design, implementation, and security.
• Experience designing, developing, evaluating, testing, and securing development and test infrastructure networks.
• Expertise in network connectivity concepts, including routing, switching, and IP addressing.
• Experience monitoring and maintaining applications within an IT environment.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating telecommunications systems.
• Familiarity with security hardware and software, including encryption, firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Understanding of computer security concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Experience implementing, configuring, and sustaining computer and network security solutions.
• Experience planning, coordinating, and administering the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Knowledge of configuration management principles and practices, including planning, documenting, modifying, and integrating systems.
• Awareness of new and emerging technologies, tools, and trends applicable to mobile and RF development and test infrastructure.
• Ability to maintain accurate system documentation, inventories, configurations, and infrastructure drawings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, customer personnel, and external organizations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and develop creative solutions to complex technical problems.
• An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Security Clearance Requirement:

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
