Location: El Segundo, CA - Onsite

Salary Range: $100/hr to 112/hr on w2

Introduction

Join our Defense, Space and Security team as a DSP Algorithms Engineer, where you will play a vital role in designing and developing state-of-the-art, space-based communication systems. You will work with a highly-motivated team on commercial, civil, and national security programs, collaborating with domestic and international customers on the latest satellite systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) / Digital Communications algorithms and techniques.
• Experience with Matlab or Simulink.
• Experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory.
• Experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design, and trade design).
• Experience working with FPGAs or ASICs.
• Prior work experience in the industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer).
• Experience leading teams of engineers.
• 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Designing and developing next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
• Developing and verifying multi-rate fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
• Conducting performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Performing waveform development and characterization.
• Performing trade studies.
• Supporting integration and test of payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations.
• Supporting HDL-level design and verification.
• Performing detailed system design and verification activities.
• Leading teams and IR&D activities.
