Salary Range: $85 - $90/hour

Introduction
Join our Defense, Space and Security sector as a Systems Engineer specializing in Microelectronics. Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) / Digital Communications algorithms and techniques.
- 3 years of experience with Matlab or Simulink.
- 5 years of experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory.
- 3 years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design, and trade design).
- 1 year of experience working with FPGAs or ASICs.
- Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)
- Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer).
- Experience leading teams of engineers.
- 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)
- Design and develop next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
- Develop and verify multi-rate fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
- Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models.
- Perform waveform development and characterization.
- Conduct trade studies and support integration and testing of payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations.
- Support HDL-level design and verification and perform detailed system design and verification activities.
