Title : Systems Engineer 4
Location: El Segundo, CA - Onsite
Contract Duration : 12 months with Possibility to extension
Salary Range: $80 to $90 on W2 Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Introduction
We are seeking a Computer Systems Engineer with 5–9 years of professional experience to support the development and integration of space payload emulators. This role focuses on hands-on hardware/software development for embedded systems and front-end UI/UX control interfaces. The position is tailored for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on lab environment, working side-by-side with multidisciplinary teams to bring up hardware, integrate software/logic, and build intuitive emulator interfaces.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Professional experience in embedded hardware/software development and integration.
- Hands-on experience developing for Xilinx SoC/MPSoC architectures.
- Proficiency with Xilinx design and development tools.
- Strong hands-on lab troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience developing custom FPGA IP or interfacing with custom hardware peripherals.
- Experience with high-speed serial protocols and network communications.
- Experience building real-time data streaming and command-and-control visualization tools.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain embedded software and firmware on Xilinx SoC platforms.
- Design and implement front-end graphical user interfaces using Java or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Partner closely with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative lab environment.
