    Description

    Description:

    • Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
    • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
    • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
    • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
    • Develops technical documentation.
    • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
    • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
    • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
    • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
    • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

    Responsibilities:

    Enterprise Architecture Design:

    • Author, review, and maintain repeatable, comprehensive System Architecture and system design documentation for IT environments

    Requirements Engineering:

    • Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level architectures/visions to derive formal, testable system requirements

    Hybrid Environment Engineering:

    • Architect and optimize complex infrastructures operating both on-premises (bare-metal/virtualized) and off-premises.

    Feasibility & Trade Studies:

    • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative technical approaches, and conduct rigorous technical feasibility studies
    • Integration Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for the seamless integration of requirements, system design, and emerging technologies.

    Verification & Validation Oversight:

    • Guide system development and implementation planning by authoring and executing system integration and test plans

    Government & Executive Liaison:

    • Interface directly with senior executives regarding complex Engineering considerations, technical roadblocks, or architectural conflicts.

    Cross-Functional Communication:

    • Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, and technical teams to align architectural vision with execution schedules.

    High-Level Documentation:

    • Facilitate technical alignment by authoring, updating, and defending technical documentation in technical exchange meetings (TEMs).

    Required

    • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP
    • 14 YOE
    • Hands-on experience in Systems Engineering and IT Architecture.
    • Proven track record of designing and managing technical architectures for both on-premises enterprise data centers and cloud environments.
    • Demonstrated expert-level experience engineering complex Network infrastructure and End-User computing solutions at scale.
    • Mastery in authoring formal Systems Engineering artifacts, including CONOPS, SRS, SDDs, SEMPs, and Test Plans.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with explicit experience briefing senior executives on complex problems and architectural trade-offs.

    Desired:

    • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP).
    • AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
    • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), CCNP, or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

    Salary range:

    $185,377.00 $197,975.00
