Systems Development Engineer | Miami, FL | Remote · $100,000

About the Role A dynamic, growing company is looking for a Systems Development Engineer to help build and scale their backend infrastructure. You'll work closely with the CTO on system architecture, build custom APIs, and own the third-party integrations that keep the business connected and running smoothly. Key Responsibilities

API Development

• Build and maintain custom backend APIs
• Ensure seamless connectivity across internal systems

System Architecture

• Work under the CTO, executing on architectural direction and assigned system tasks
• Contribute to the design and scalability of core systems

Third-Party Integrations

• Own and manage integrations with external platforms and services
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing integration pipelines

Qualifications

• Strong experience in backend development
• Strong foundations in JavaScript
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node/Bun-based environments
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
• Experience with React, Tailwind, and Vite
• Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with senior leadership
• Experience with Cloudflare's developer and security products is a plus
