Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Systems Business Analyst III with extensive field experience in HVAC systems, technical training, troubleshooting, and system performance analysis.
This role will support the development and delivery of hands-on HVAC training programs while helping students and field personnel understand installation, diagnostics, servicing procedures, and safe work practices. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems and proven experience creating and delivering technical training materials.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop HVAC course materials, including:
Instructor guides
Participant guides
Handouts
Job aids
Prepare for and deliver classroom and hands-on technical training.
Coordinate, instruct, and evaluate performance-based HVAC training.
Assist students with system performance analysis, troubleshooting, and servicing.
Provide technical instruction in:
Refrigeration systems
Electrical systems
Air distribution systems
HVAC diagnostics
Promote quality HVAC installation and service practices.
Demonstrate and reinforce safe work practices in all training and service activities.
Support multiple training and technical assignments simultaneously.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and technical personnel.
Required Qualifications
Extensive field experience in HVAC installation, service, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
State of Alabama Contractor’s Certification – Active or Inactive – required.
Strong knowledge of:
Air distribution
Refrigeration theory and systems
Electrical theory and circuitry
HVAC system installation and servicing
Electrical schematics and wiring
Electrical codes
Solid-state devices
Psychrometrics and enthalpy
Refrigeration piping
Refrigerant evacuation procedures
Heat transfer and thermal building construction
Residential load calculations
Residential duct design
Duct board fabrication and installation
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience developing and delivering classroom training.
Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments and priorities.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Experience
Extensive hands-on residential HVAC field experience.
Experience teaching technicians or field personnel.
Experience developing technical training programs and instructional materials.
Strong customer relations skills.
Familiarity with computer graphics used for training or technical documentation.
