Location: Open to MN, Denver, TX, Atlanta Hub locations preferred
Duration: 3 Months contract with possible extension

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to our standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
- Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
- Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
- Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
- Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards. Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
- Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
- Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.
- Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation.
- Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery. Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience

Primary Preferred Skills/Experience

·         Six plus years’ experience with Pega Infinity 8.x greater and supporting frameworks (CPM; Collections)

·         Define and maintain end-to-end Pega deployment runbooks for Kubernetes, including fresh cluster installation, environment setup, and production readiness checks.

·         Docker image lifecycle management: secure pull, version/tag strategy, vulnerability scanning, and controlled promotion across dev/test/prod.

·         Deploy and operate Pega on Kubernetes using Helm charts with strong hands-on control of values, secrets, config maps, storage classes, ingress, and namespace isolation.

·         Build reliable upgrade runbooks covering pre-checks, backup/restore, rollback plans, and post-upgrade smoke validation.

·         Set up and validate Pega integrations with Kafka, Cassandra, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL, including dependency onboarding and connectivity verification.

·         Implement secure, automated delivery using CI/CD for Helm-based deploy/upgrade/rollback, plus integration hardening (TLS, cert rotation, credential handling, network policies, and service-to-service security).

·         Pega certified senior system architect (CSSA) or (LSA) strongly preferred

·         Experience in DevOps CI/CD pipeline and integration with Pega Deployment Mgr.

·         Very good Cloud experience ( Kubernetes, AWS, Azure or PegaCloud )

·         Object-oriented programming background (java or .NET)

·         Tomcat and IBM WebSphere admin and tuning.

·         Web Services / WSDL / SOAP / JMS, preferably via Tibco middleware, Rest, and GraphQL

·         Database connectivity, preferably exposure to IBM UDB 10.X or greater and PostGreSQL DB experience.

·         Experience with AWS telephony integration including IVR, Screen-Pop, chat and softphone.

·         Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, streaming integrations)

·         Exposure to working in Agile methodology

·         Demonstrated experience in developing and integrating complex software solutions in the financial services industry, credit card and collections system experience a plus.

·         Experience leading team sizes of three or more engineers.

Experience defining integration standards, API governance, and reusable service frameworks

  • Strong experience with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) and Next-Best-Action (NBA) framework.
  • Hands-on expertise in AI-powered customer engagement, adaptive decisioning, and predictive analytics.
  • Experience designing and implementing retention, cross-sell, upsell, and upgrade offer strategies.
  • Proficient in NBA Designer, Decision Strategies, Arbitration, and Real-Time Decisioning.
  • Strong knowledge of customer journey orchestration, personalization, and campaign optimization.
  • Pega CDH certification preferred.
