Overview:

WiSC Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled and mission-focused Systems Architect, Consulting to support Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and Federal civilian clients in the design, integration, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise information systems and mission-critical technologies.

This position provides strategic and technical leadership across systems engineering, enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, data integration, and advanced analytics initiatives supporting national security and operational missions. The Systems Architect will work closely with government stakeholders, program leadership, engineers, analysts, and mission partners to develop scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions.

This is a full-time position supporting hybrid, onsite, or customer-location environments based on contract requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex enterprise information systems, software architectures, and mission-support IT solutions
  • Lead systems architecture efforts supporting cloud engineering, data platforms, software modernization, infrastructure operations, and cybersecurity integration
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, technical roadmaps, and system integration strategies
  • Support advanced prototyping, agile software development, DevSecOps implementation, and emerging technology initiatives
  • Define and manage system interoperability requirements across multiple networks, platforms, and security domains
  • Conduct systems engineering analysis including requirements development, functional decomposition, risk analysis, and trade studies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify mission needs and translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Support architecture governance, configuration management, and technology lifecycle planning
  • Evaluate current and emerging technologies to improve mission effectiveness, operational resilience, and performance
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams supporting software development, cloud migration, data engineering, and infrastructure modernization efforts
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, IC, NIST, RMF, and cybersecurity standards and policies
  • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and executive briefings
  • Support system testing, validation, accreditation, and operational transition activities
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, enterprise architecture, software engineering, or IT modernization programs
  • Experience designing and integrating enterprise-scale IT systems within DoD, IC, or Federal environments
  • Strong knowledge of systems architecture methodologies, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and agile development methodologies
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity frameworks including RMF, NIST, Zero Trust, and secure system design
  • Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, virtualization, databases, and enterprise applications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced mission environments
  • Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret/SCI preferred
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a related technical field
  • Experience supporting intelligence, defense, cyber, ISR, GEOINT, MASINT, or mission analytics programs
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • CISSP
    • TOGAF
    • SAFe Agilist
    • Security+
  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled systems, data analytics platforms, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
  • Experience supporting proposal efforts, solution architecture, or technical capture activities
