    • Document technical incidents, corrective actions, recurring problems, and system status.
    • Follow federal cybersecurity, access-control, equipment-use, and network-connection requirements.
    • Respond to incidents according to required severity, response, and resolution standards.

    • Hands-on knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi networks, firewalls, access controls, encryption, and general cybersecurity practices.
    • Experience troubleshooting workstations, network equipment, servers, projectors, interactive displays, or comparable technical systems.
    • Knowledge of cloud storage, hosted applications, SaaS platforms, backup, restoration, and disaster-recovery practices.
    • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to nontechnical employees, volunteers, and operational stakeholders.
    • Ability to work onsite and provide support during weekends, holidays, or special events when required.

    Education and Certifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
    • Relevant professional experience and technical certifications may be considered in place of the preferred degree.
    • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are strongly applicable.
    • Cloud or platform certifications involving Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Workspace are desirable.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • IT experience in a museum, gallery, library, theater, public attraction, or other high-availability environment.
    • Experience supporting digital asset management or collection-management databases.
    • Familiarity with AV integration, multiscreen video walls, interactive touch tables, media servers, or digital kiosks.
