Position Summary:
- Under minimal supervision, provides technical and customer support for IT-related issues within designated areas of the health system.
- Maintains a working knowledge of customer operations to deliver effective troubleshooting and support for systems and applications.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement based on user needs and participates in the implementation of solutions.
- May contribute to project work from initiation through completion.
- Competent in most phases of systems analysis, with guidance required in more complex areas.
- Demonstrates foundational understanding of relevant technologies, tools, and methods.
- Maintains sound knowledge of core technical area or business process.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- 6 years of Systems Analysis, Design and/or Support; OR
- 2 years Specific Systems experience with demonstrated competency in department as an Associate Systems Analyst; OR
- 2 years experience required with a Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science field.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Services-related field; OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Health Information Management (HIM) workflows and processes
- Chart XR and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Medical coding and clinical documentation practices
- Document imaging, scanning, and records management solutions
- Enterprise software testing, validation, and quality assurance methodologies
- Oracle Health (Cerner) applications and healthcare information systems
