    Description

    As a SCADA Analyst, you will help ensure the safe, reliable operation of our SCADA environment by implementing new assets, improving operational visibility and efficiency, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. You will evaluate complex operational and technical problems, determine root causes, and deliver solutions that meet internal customer needs while maintaining system integrity and safety standards.

    In this role, you will collaborate closely with Field Operations Technicians, Controls/Engineering partners, Gas Controllers, and fellow SCADA Analysts to deliver projects and support day‑to‑day operations. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working across teams, and meeting occasional tight deadlines to support operational schedules.

    Education Requirements

    Preferred Bachelor''s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and/or work experience in addition to the following job-related experience. (Typically, one and a half to two years of relevant experience is equivalent to one year of formal education.)

    In addition to education, this role typically calls for two to four years of relevant professional experience; (Minimum of one-year relevant experience is required).

    Experience

    • Demonstrated ability in the support and function of one or more of the following:

    • Desktop/laptop hardware, operating system, and Office suite

    • Infrastructure hardware configuration

    • IP networking

    • Windows Server and/or Unix operating systems

    • Shared storage technologies

    • Virtualization technologies

    • Event monitoring, logging and data collection techniques

    • Administering Cloud Services

    • Mentor, and facilitate discussions across a wide range of teams and technologies.

    • Experience with the application of math, algebra and statistical and volumetric methods.

    • Experience and training relative to:

    • Operating systems software

    • Computer hardware

    • Networking

    • Communications

    • Security administration

    • Identify, research, and analyze systems software problems and perform systems evaluations.

    • Research, prepare, and compose systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and correspondence.

    • Interact, advise, guide, train, and communicate effectively.

    • Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

    • Minimum Applicable driver''s license.

    • Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Designs, builds, programs, modifies, administers, documents, and supports Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) field communications.
    • Configures and/or develops SCADA displays, database records, and communication pathways to connect field Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and related devices to the master SCADA system.
    • Partners with Field Operations personnel to perform final testing with live data prior to production release.
    • Troubleshoots issues including equipment communication failures, remote device malfunctions, and incorrect configurations.
    • Produces technical documentation for logic, changes, and corrections, and develops user documentation describing installation and operating procedures.
    • Perform incident analysis and configuration management (impacting various sized workgroups and/or chronic/recurring issues) related to IT infrastructure and support.
    • Manage issues which escalate beyond the status of incident.
    • Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
    • Design and implement infrastructure solutions.
    • Perform root cause analysis on resolved issues.
    • Design and develop appropriate monitoring and/or other proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
    • Mentor Tier I staff during problem resolution and root case analysis to increase efficiency and knowledge of Tier I personnel.
    • Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of infrastructure and applications.
    • Provide configuration and engineering for new technologies.
    • Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies when appropriate.
    • Develop project plans using methodologies defined by industry best practices (such as WBS, MS Project).
    • Complete tasks assigned in order to accomplish approved application and/or infrastructure change requests.
    • Consult with applications and infrastructure personnel on new initiatives and the impacts they will have on the infrastructure.
    • Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
    • Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
