    Description

    Overview:

    WakeMed is seeking a Systems Analyst II, Home Health to support the design, build, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic applications. This role serves as a key liaison between Information Services, operational departments, end users, and vendors to ensure technology solutions effectively support patient care and business operations.


    The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with strong analytical skills, Epic application experience, and a passion for improving workflows and system performance.

     

    Key Responsibilities
    Application Build & Change Management (40%)
        • Analyze customer requirements and implement application enhancements and system changes.
        • Configure, test, validate, and support Epic applications.
        • Lead change requests and application optimization initiatives.


    Workflow Analysis & System Design (20%)
        • Analyze department workflows, reporting needs, and operational processes.
        • Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
        • Apply best practices to system design and lifecycle management.


    Tier 2 Application Support (20%)
        • Provide high-quality Tier 2 support for assigned applications.
        • Troubleshoot and resolve application and workflow issues.
        • Collaborate with users, technical teams, and vendors to identify and implement solutions.


    Documentation & Education (10%)
        • Maintain documentation for application changes and support processes.
        • Educate team members and stakeholders on system updates and enhancements.


    Reporting Support (10%)
        • Develop report specifications and partner with report developers to support operational and regulatory reporting needs.
        • Ensure reporting solutions meet business requirements and compliance standards.

     

    Qualifications
    Required:
        • Minimum of 3 years of Information Technology Systems Analysis experience.
        • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
        • Experience supporting enterprise software applications.

     

    Preferred Education:
        • Associate degree in Technology, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.

     

    Preferred Certifications:
        • Epic Certification in area of responsibility.
        • Relevant clinical, technical, or professional certification/licensure.

     

    Ideal Candidate
        • Experience supporting Epic or other healthcare applications.
        • Strong understanding of clinical and operational workflows.
        • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
        • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
