    Job Description:
    4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
    1. Assists in development of project documentation. Assists in the development of application on-line help. Conducts requirements gathering with non-technical Subject Matter Experts to understand business process needs and program requirements to create Use Cases, flow charts, acceptance criteria and other documentation needed for system enhancements. Analyzes new and existing business processes to determine how modifications and changes will impact the system. Will serve as a technical expert responsible for working with non-technical and technical stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication is maintained throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
    2. Performs necessary testing of assigned programs, including the generation of test data, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, debugging detected errors, etc. Use current software development methods/techniques and established development standards (which include testing standards) to ensure the quality and maintainability of applications. (25%)
    4. Provide status reports on enhancement activities and resolution of issues impacting system. Notify immediate manager and technical lead of critical issues impacting the system’s ability to deliver services as designed. Attends regular status meetings to update team members such as developers, business analysts, database administrators and project managers on progress of assigned work. Regularly updates assignments using a ticketing system allowing for the sharing of information with project team members. Provides information to non-technical and technical staff via email, telephone and formal presentations covering such topics as system functionality, data collection processes and other technical issues as needed. Audiences for these communications would be both internal business groups and external entities to the agency including governmental organizations as well as contract service providers. (25%)
