Systems Analyst – Advanced (Salesforce/TargetX CRM Specialist)

Summary: 

The University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Salesforce/TargetX CRM Specialist to support and enhance its Salesforce and TargetX environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, TargetX, TargetX Communication Planner, and automated email/drip campaigns. Responsibilities include managing communication workflows, troubleshooting campaign issues, maintaining CRM data, and supporting the transition from Salesforce/TargetX to Slate CRM. This is a 100% onsite contract position in Columbia, South Carolina. Applicants must currently reside in South Carolina; relocation is not permitted.

Responsibilities:

• Create, configure, schedule, test, deploy, and maintain automated email and drip campaigns using TargetX Communication Planner.
• Manage and update communication campaigns based on recruitment, admissions, engagement, and departmental requirements.
• Build and maintain recipient lists, communication audiences, filters, and business rules using Salesforce and TargetX data.
• Develop and maintain reusable email templates, communication components, and campaign documentation.
• Test new and updated campaigns in the sandbox environment and perform quality assurance before deployment.
• Troubleshoot campaign delivery, audience selection, scheduling, personalization, automation, and CRM data issues.
• Monitor campaign performance and help departments evaluate communication effectiveness.
• Maintain Salesforce reports, dashboards, objects, fields, and related CRM data.
• Inventory and document existing Salesforce/TargetX campaigns, templates, audiences, integrations, and workflows.
• Support the transition from Salesforce/TargetX to Slate CRM, including migration planning, configuration reviews, data validation, user acceptance testing, and user training.
• Collaborate with university departments, IT teams, implementation partners, and vendors to resolve technical and functional issues.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, consolidate, and improve existing communication workflows.
