Work Arrangement: Hybrid, Onsite and Remote
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Expected End Date: August 31, 2027
Business Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 2 to support the analysis, design, and improvement of complex enterprise applications and business systems.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand business objectives, analyze operational processes, identify system requirements, evaluate potential solutions, and develop detailed functional documentation for new and existing applications.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of systems analysis experience, with strong expertise in requirements analysis, business process evaluation, functional documentation, cost-benefit analysis, and enterprise application environments.

Experience supporting healthcare applications is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business objectives, operational challenges, and technology needs to identify appropriate system solutions.

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate user requirements, business processes, procedures, and existing systems.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve existing applications and workflows.

  • Meet with business stakeholders, users, developers, and other technical teams to gather and clarify requirements.

  • Analyze existing operational procedures to identify issues, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Evaluate alternative technical and business solutions and perform cost-benefit analysis when appropriate.

  • Document detailed business, functional, and system requirements.

  • Develop detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, workflows, and system changes.

  • Define the steps required to develop, modify, or enhance computer applications.

  • Analyze and document application input and output requirements, including data-entry methods, data processing, summarization, and reporting formats.

  • Review system capabilities, specifications, dependencies, and limitations to determine the feasibility of requested application changes.

  • Translate business requirements into clear documentation that can be used by software development and technical teams.

  • Evaluate proposed system changes and identify potential impacts to existing applications, processes, and users.

  • Assist with application planning, analysis, implementation, testing, and enhancement activities.

  • Maintain accurate requirements, functional specifications, process documentation, and related project documentation.

  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the application development lifecycle.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends for potential application within the enterprise environment.

  • Exercise independent judgment when analyzing complex business and technical issues.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant systems analysis experience, including:

  • Analyzing business objectives, operational challenges, and system problems.

  • Identifying and evaluating alternative business and technical solutions.

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements.

  • Analyzing operational procedures and identifying opportunities for automation or system improvements.

  • Developing detailed business, functional, and system requirements.

  • Performing cost-benefit analysis of systems and alternative solutions.

  • Analyzing and documenting data input, processing, output, and reporting requirements.

  • 2+ years of experience with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies.

  • 2+ years of experience working with enterprise software architecture, infrastructure components, and technology roadmaps.

  • Previous experience supporting complex government, public-sector, healthcare, or large enterprise applications is a plus.
