Systems Administrator

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a defense and intelligence community contractor, for a Systems Administrator to support a high-security enterprise IT environment in Springfield, VA. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of mission-critical infrastructure at the intersection of enterprise systems engineering and national security, with compensation reflecting the specialized clearance and technical expertise the role demands.

Day to day, you will be deep in Windows Server environments, Active Directory forests, and VMware clusters, keeping SCCM and SCOM humming while hardening systems against evolving threats. Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments across a classified enterprise network
• Manage Active Directory forests, domains, group policy, and system security configurations
• Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure
• Administer SCCM for endpoint management, patching, and software deployment
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance using SCOM
• Maintain and support enterprise storage systems and SAN infrastructure
• Support and troubleshoot cross-domain solution architecture and guard systems
• Implement system security hardening in accordance with DoD STIGs and IA policies
• Perform routine backups, disaster recovery testing, and system upgrades
• Collaborate with ISSOs and government stakeholders on accreditation and compliance activities

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph is required
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification such as Security+, SSCP, CISSP, or CASP
• Extensive hands-on experience administering Windows Server operating systems
• Strong background in Active Directory design, administration, and system security
• Proven experience with VMware virtualization technologies
• Hands-on experience with SCCM and SCOM in an enterprise environment
• Experience supporting enterprise storage and cross-domain solutions
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to work on-site full time in Springfield, Virginia
