Sparc Technology Services Inc is looking for a talented Systems Administrator with a focus on Physical Security to join our growing team in New York, NY. Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain physical security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection
- Monitor and administer security platforms, ensuring uptime, performance, and system integrity
- Manage user access credentials, badge systems, and security permissions across facilities
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to physical security infrastructure
- Coordinate with IT and facilities teams to integrate physical security with network and building systems
- Conduct routine system audits, testing, and preventive maintenance
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on physical security technologies
- Hands-on experience with access control systems (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Software House)
- Proficiency with IP-based video surveillance and CCTV platforms
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, and VLANs as they relate to security systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a live environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, PSP, or vendor-specific) are a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Compensation: $55.00 per hour
