IDR is seeking a Systems Administrator - Operations Engineering to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves managing and automating infrastructure components within a global cloud environment, ensuring high availability, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to optimize platform performance. It offers an exciting chance to work at the core of a scalable SaaS platform supporting millions of users.
Position Overview for the Systems Administrator - Operations Engineering:
- Responsible for administration and operations of the cloud infrastructure supporting a high-traffic SaaS platform.
- Develop automation tools in Python, Bash, and JavaScript to streamline manual tasks and improve maintenance processes.
- Drive enhancements for large scale automation projects, including patching, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
- Support the deployment and readiness of new products and services through testing, training, and design reviews.
- Proactively address incidents using systems administration and networking knowledge, and participate in root cause analysis.
Requirements for the Systems Administrator - Operations Engineering:
- 3-6 years of experience in systems administration and automation.
- Strong proficiency with Ansible and Linux server management.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
- Background in server patching, infrastructure automation, and managing enterprise infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues including database backups, restorations, and migrations.
