    Description

    DPP is seeking a Systems Administrator for an opportunity with our client in the Defense Research and Development industry.
     
    Work location: Fully onsite in Charleston, SC
    Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension 
    Terms: W2 Contract
    Work Authorization: US Citizen; must hold a current & active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Fulfill common tasks that facilitate the user account life cycle (Creation, Password Resets, Account Auditing, Off-Boarding).
    • Perform installation of diverse types of software packages, troubleshoot installation errors, and create documentation for future use.
    • Troubleshoot user issues related to access to environment, trouble using tools in environment, or possible bugs with tools in environment.
    • Troubleshoot user issues related to CI/CD processes (Artifactory/Jenkins/Bitbucket).
    • Develop custom scripts or small compiled applications based on internal and external customer requests.
    • Support the program, including multitasking, working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
    • Software tracking to include usage rates and expiration dates.
    • Troubleshoot automation issues related to deployment of environment (Ansible and CloudFormation).
    Required qualifications:
    • Available after hours as needed.
    • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
    • Bachelor's degree in related technical field OR equivalent work experience
    • Must currently hold a DoD 8140-compliant IAT II certification (Security+CE or higher).
    • 2-5 years of System Administration experience to include 2-5 years of Linux Operation systems.
    • Experience navigating the Linux CLI.
    • Experience managing system services (systemctl).
    • Experience reviewing system logs.
    • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, firewall rules, SSH).
    • The ability to self-start, and finish tasks with little supervision needed.
    • The ability to receive and respond to trouble tickets via email, chat, and Jira, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
    • Must possess the ability to document processes needed to complete job functions.
    • Introductory knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
    • Experience with ticketing systems (Jira preferred).
    Preferred qualifications:
    • Familiarity with administrating/operating Atlassian suite of tools (Jira/Bitbucket/Confluence).
    • User and group administration experience.
    • Experience with project and space configuration under supervisor guidance.
    • The ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
    • Be able to apply updates following documented procedures.
    • Experience creating/modifying Jira resources (Projects, Workflows, Fields, Screens).
    • Familiarity with AWS Cloud resource concepts (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation).
    • A working understanding of networking principles.
    • Experience troubleshooting system issues with product vendors.
    • Familiarity with JFrog Products:
      • Artifactory
      • Xray
      • Distribution
    • AWS certification
